A Scholarship for Commitment and Development

Icke Persson’s Scholarship is awarded annually within IK Oskarshamn and serves as a way for the club to recognize young players who make significant contributions and demonstrate strong development.

The scholarship is awarded to a promising junior player and focuses on:

  • Athletic development
  • A positive attitude
  • Exemplary conduct both on and off the ice

The award may also be linked to development in both hockey and education, as well as leadership and engagement within the youth program.

The scholarship is named after Per-Erik “Icke” Persson, who was a significant figure in the club’s history and a strong role model within hockey in Oskarshamn. Per-Erik “Icke” Persson was the son of Bror Göthe Persson, the founder of Be-Ge. Icke was deeply engaged in community life and played an important role in supporting hockey in Oskarshamn.

Through this scholarship, we honor his lifelong contribution, inspire future players, and continue the tradition of highlighting commitment, responsibility, and positive role models within club and community life.
